Brad Paisley is celebrating his 22nd number one single.
The singer teamed up with his co-writers Chris DuBois and Luke Laird at a luncheon in Nashville on Tuesday honoring them for the success of “Beat This Summer.”
Brad says he had the title when he went in to write with Luke and Chris, and says it sounded like a summer song title to him. Luke created the cool loop that can be heard throughout the tune. Brad says when he went in to record, he played that for the band and told them it was the feel he was looking for.
"Beat This Summer" is featured on Paisley's ninth album Wheelhouse, which came out back in April.
