Study: Social Isolation Equals Early Death
It's often said without social contact, humans die. A new study appears to prove that. Over 65-hundred elderly British men and women were tracked over seven years. Scientists found the socially-isolated died prematurely, even after excluding mental and physical conditions.
The findings were published online this week in the "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."
