Over 150,000 people in SW Va face hunger, nearly 44,000 are children. Feeding America Southwest Virginia helps fill the need, through their network of over 300 partner churches and organizations stretching from Lee County in far SW Va all the way to Danville.
In addition to food donations, people should consider monetary donations as well. Through their connections, every dollar donated to Feeding America Southwest Virginia helps provide seven meals.
Their “Holidays from the Heart” campaign is getting started…you can also look for special holiday food boxes at area Kroger and Food Lion stores.
