Hiding In Plane Site

A California man was arrested at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport over the weekend after it was determined that he had been living their since October.

Authorities say 36-year-old Aditya Singh arrived in Chicago from Los Angeles on October 19th and never left. Two United Airlines employees spotted him in a restricted area of the terminal and asked for identification. He showed them an operation badge which had been reported stolen in late October. They turned him over to police who placed him under arrest and charged him with trespassing, impersonating and theft. He told authorities he was scared to fly back to L.A. because of surging COVID-19 cases. He's scheduled to appear in court next week. (People

Scott's Thoughts::

  • How in the world could this happen in an airport?
  • Fortunately, this guy was not considered to be dangerous or pose a threat.
  • Lawyers noted that he has no prior criminal record and was legitimately afraid of the virus.
  • Was he really much safer from the virus in an airport full of people from all over the world?
