It’s got to be a fantastic feeling to find enough money hidden in your home to practically pay for the home renovation you’re in the middle of. In the UK town of West Dorset, Robert Fooks and his wife, Betty, decided to dismantle the concrete floor in the farmhouse they’ve been re-doing, hoping to “increase the height of their kitchen.” When the concrete was removed, they discovered a “hoard of coins” that ended up being around 400-years old…and valued, in total, at close to $75K. One coin from “the King Charles I lot” sold for over $6,200 on its own, and another James I coin netted over $3K. At auction, the entire coin collection ended up bringing in double what auctioneers estimated. Any guesses as to what’s under your floor?
