The Star City is my home. I began my broadcasting career in 1973 as a junior at
During those year's I worked at 1240 WROV, K92 from 1980 to 1992, and in
I spent five and a half years at Your Hometown Station - WDBJ7 doing News 7 Mornin' before returning to my deep, deep "radio roots" in 1997.
In March 2008, I came in third place in City Magazine's "Best Radio Personalities." I've always said, I have the best listeners in the world. Thank-you so much for tuning in every day. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun without you.
I love doing mornings. However, the 3A alarm comes early. You know what they say, "early to bed, early to rise..." Well, I'm still waiting on the "wealthy" part to that one.
My wife, Glenna and I, were married in 1989. It was the "best thing" that ever happened to me. That was also our "first dance" song at our wedding.
We have four kids - Snuggles, Kisses, Tigger and Michael (all with four legs and tails.) They're the purrrr-fect kids.

If you're looking for a great online password, ask a red-head. The BBC tells us that red-headed women are best at choosing hard-to-guess passwords. No reason given, that's just the way it rolls, apparently.
On the other end, bearded guys are idiots when it comes to passwords. Again, no reason given.

Do you know who Todd Mills is? You will in the next 60 seconds. He's a visionary behind a billion-dollar idea, that almost didn't happen. He never made any money on it. He simply thought it was a "cool idea."
In 2009, Mills wrote a letter to Frito-Lay pitching the idea. Their response was, "Thanks, but no thanks." So after receiving the rejection letter, he vowed to pursue the idea "from the grass-roots level. What do you do? Head to Facebook.
That same year, he started the page "Taco Shells from Doritos Movement", encouraging followers to "tell Frito-Lay that we demand nacho cheesy taco shells!"
Then in 2012, Todd received a phone call. It was Taco Bell and they were developing his prized creation. We know it today as Doritos Locos Tacos, a billlion dollar business, according to the Huffington Post..
Sadly, the 41 year old passed away on Thanksgiving Day after battling brain cancer. He's survived by his wife, Tyler, 19, and Lainey, 6. When friends learned he had passed away, they took pictures of themselves eating the tacos and posted the images to Facebook.
After being turned down by Frito-Lay, Taco Bell called Mills a "true friend" of the company.
Todd Mills...you might think of him today at lunch when you Liv Mas. How will you make a difference in our world?
