Someone else is pointing fingers at Miley Cyrus for that VMAs performance -- the guy who invented the foam finger prop that she turned into a sex toy.
Steve Chmelar, who introduced the "number-one" symbol while attending an Iowa high school in the early '70s, wasn't happy with Miley's use of the device. Though he didn't see the awards show live, friends used Facebook to show him all the gory details. He tells Fox Sports, "She took an honorable icon that is seen in sporting venues everywhere and degraded it. Fortunately, the foam finger has been around long enough that it will survive this incident. As for Miley Cyrus, let's hope she can outlive this event and also survive."
