ABC 13: More heavy showers and thunderstorms likely today, with several storms capable of producing small hail.
Many of the larger rivers are expected to exceed their banks today. Major flooding is not expected, but areas along the James, Staunton, and Dan Rivers should expect rises a couple of feet above flood stage before receding Thursday morning. Look out for lingering stream and creek flooding.
Some secondary roads are closed in Bedford, Botetourt, Campbell, Roanoke and Rockbridge counties so please use caution as you head out this morning. Numerous roads- primary and secondary- are closed or have advisories posted in Botetourt CLICK HERE for List of ROAD CLOSINGS

FLOOD WARNINGS are currently posted for Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Bedford, Botetourt, Campbell, Halifax, and Charlotte. Authorities are paying close attention to the James River at Holcomb Rock and at Buchanan.
