Tom Travis....If you've ever heard Bob Kingsley on American Country Countdown, it's not me! I've been playing radio since 1983 and it's always been country music I've played. I've worked in Little Rock, Fayetteville and Ft. Smith Arkansas, Oklahoma City and a rumored short career in Jamaica (I don't remember much about it). I'm a married father of 5 ranging from 23 years to 6 months (3 girls and 2 boy). I Love God, Country and Country Music! You'll find me parked in front of anything sports and / or the Military Channel.
Lonestar has a new album on the way. Life As We Know It will be the group's first studio effort in three years, following their 2010 CD Party Heard Around the World. It's also the band's first full disc since founding frontman Richie McDonald returned to the fold.
Richie says the album also marks the first time Lonestar has taken the reins and served as their own producer. The singer tells DigitalJournal.com he and his bandmates wrote nine of the 12 songs on the disc and "had a little more creative control" over the project.
He adds that they gave themselves some freedom with this record. McDonald explains that they "just wanted to enjoy making music, enjoy being together, enjoy playing, performing live, and entertaining" their fans.
Life As We Know It features Lonestar's current single, "Maybe Someday." The album will be in stores on June 4th.
